As they are special order items they also cannot be returned for a refund unless there is a defect. There is a 3 week turnaround time from placing the order to you receiving it. This porcelain sculpture decorated with a compelling combination of white, black and golden luster is the result of the collaboration between Lladró and Laolu Senbanjo, a Brooklyn-based Nigerian visual artist, musician, human rights lawyer and activist. Senbanjo’s personal graphic language, which combines influences from the Yoruba culture from Nigeria with a more contemporary treatment, is coupled with the sculptural form to give rise to a singular body of work with the personal stamp of a committed artist. Rendering Senbajo’s drawing in porcelain called for outstanding work in two main areas. On one hand, the ornamentation team had to etch each one of the strokes by hand so that they could be recreated in the pieces. On the other, it required the expert hands of the decoration team to carefully paint them in black and golden luster.
